Start with the basics, learn hiragana and katakana, takes no time. Then learn basic grammar, at the very least the core particles は、が、に、を、で. This is the easy part, then honestly, you've gotta grind kanji & vocab. Learning kanji is hard, no other way to say it, it's hard, but the more kanji you learn the easier it becomes. Your vocabulary also improves as you learn kanji, almost magically. Kanji have this magical property that they allow you to understand words you don't know just by knowing the kanji, you may not know what a 原子力発電所 is, but if you know all the kanji that make it up you can read it. Listening is also extremely important, listen to as much Japanese as you can (anything is fine, anime, games, dramas, music). The internet has a lot of bad advice; as makomichi pointed out, any time someone tells you that you don't need to know something, they are wrong. Some bad advice you always hear online is that pitch accent doesn't matter, because "people are gonna understand you're talking about a bucket of flowers and not a bucket of" that's terrible advice. perhaps so, I admit that I am talking in large part from ignorance, I have not looked at how any of this works on a technical level, but: - loading times can be improved by selectively optimizing what to load and by putting more effort into optimization. none of the technical details about how the wallet work should affect that - nothing you said prevents them from implementing NWC, the wallet is already running, it can listen to nostr events and act accordingly - nothing you said prevents the wallet from implementing notifications without requiring google to know when I receive money (unified push exists, and a lot of apps use it). - removing animations is as simple as looking at my device preferences and deciding not to perform the animation so in my opinion I have not asked anything that requires reworking any of the complex logic
