Anyone can create a nostr-native resume (new NIP). 2. This resume benefits from the Web of Trust score of the creator. Employers get a glimpse of whether this is someone who is in some way connected to people they know or follow (referrals are generally better than cold applicants). 3. Individual gets to put themselves out into the market without applying (think LinkedIn). Employers then search a pool of candidates based on their criteria. This could include a WoT score, shared working connections (new NIP could support this), skills criteria, etc… Let’s say I know Kieran and trust his judgement, and would like to know all the people he is connected to (maybe also dedicated some specific level of trust), who happen to have public resumes. I could then search for semi-vetted candidates. 4. Companies can send offers to candidates who may not even be available yet, but are possibly open to new opportunities with the right company, for the right compensation amount. 5. Companies also have profiles that benefit from their own WoT. (the more people follow them, the more likely they are to have a better reputation). 6. I'm chatty online... 😅 I took a look at your profile. You're not following many people. That's the biggest issue. You don't get much interaction without following at least a few hundred people. It takes significant time and effort to build up to that. There's no help from algorithms. You just have to keep plugging away. I would recommend following more hashtags and interacting with the people that post interesting stuff, and also broaden your user if hashtags, at least as long as they are relevant. No one likes hashtag spammers. 😅

I do find that if a person can push through a few weeks of tough stuff here, either through sheet stubbornness or morbid curiosity, then it gets better pretty much exponentially after that. I'm conflicted because this is currently keeping the caliber of the average nostrich high, but... It's keeping away an amazing thing from many people, too. I'm also pretty OK with it being like this for another couple of years. I'm not particularly nice, in general. 😅
