What’s the point of a log in with Nostr button if your app is not a Nostr app? You have totally separate auth process, databases etc, what exactly would a Nostr identity provide? You’d need to have a Nostr-first app, no?

What would it enable though? You’d need to implement a bunch of other things to handle relays, events etc

I'd love to see more web applications with the ability to "login with nostr". We have the tools. We have the capabilities. Developers could tackle low hanging fruit by submitting PRs to their favorite open source projects.

I don’t think we have an identity crisis because Nostr is what you want it to be - can build so many different experiences for so many different types of uses and audiences. It’s a protocol so it makes sense that it can be used for many things.
