Yeah, and we have relays and filters and etc., people act like this stuff is hard. I see lists as useful for some subset of would-be follows, maybe, (although relationships would be more useful), but basing everyone's feed on follows is archaic.
⬆
Totality of our (nostr) dataset is under 0.5TiB uncompressed and easy to search πŸ˜‚
⬆
Silberengel 3/30 15:05:18 πŸ’•
Follow lists are the solution to the problem of finding some particular subset of items (in this case, npubs) within a very large set. A set the size of "all Twitter users" or "all Instagram users", for example. They are a solution to a problem we do not have. Our problem is the opposite: We have lots of disparate data sets and need to find particular items somewhere in them.
Laeserin 3/19 14:08:16 πŸ’•
Simplest would be a drop-down "Kind 1/20" box in the same form they can use, already.
⬆
I haven’t implemented it, let me take a look and see if I can do it fast and easy. Should be fairly simple, I just need to somehow give user a choice so they can decide πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

I think modern men have an ahistorical view of female beauty, so the concept of universal marriage sounds more appealing than it was. We can't go back to that era, and I doubt anyone born today would actually be willing to do so, if they saw what life back then was actually like.
