Looking at the Lightning network traffic, it feels like running LN routing node is a race to the bottom. Want more transactions during low on-chain fees, lower the routing fees. Want to earn more from the routing, put more funds at risk and open more channels. Not sure how this all will evolve, with many custodial wallets pushing their customers to self-custody. I would still not recommend running your own LN node if you have low risk tolerance. Still reckless as hell and full of surprises. 🤔🫡
