A magical place, sadly infamous after the fire at the "Chez Francis" restaurant, ordered by the french government and set on fire by the french army (gendarmerie) in 1999. Since then, the place has become a little #paradise again, and the rebuilt restaurant is frequented all summer by locals and tourists alike. The beach is one of the most beautiful south of #Ajaccio.

This is usually the busiest time of year. It's supposed to calm down a bit after August 15th, and then in September, with the return of schools, families are replaced by retirees. #history In 1793, one of the most famous Corsicans in the world, #Napoleon Bonaparte, was forced to flee his hometown of #Ajaccio, driven out by Pascal Paoli's supporters. It was from this tower (filmed this winter) that he set sail with his fleet. The Capitello Tower, located in Porticcio at the very end of the Gulf of Ajaccio.
