I wouldn't count on any of it as a replacement for my current fiat payment methods. Using on chain is usually impractical, especially for many small payments. I don't see the point if I'm just using centralized Lightning services anyway. I'm better off saving the fees/tax accounting headaches by just spending fiat. I know this is unpopular and inconsistent with the hype, but I'm being honest. Noncustodial Lightning sucks. eCash has been an even worse experience. I'm sure things will improve, but there are far too many people kidding themselves.
